When colleagues at Seadrill were asked to choose a charity close to their hearts, we were thrilled to learn they had voted to support Alfie’s Squad and the work being done to support children and families bereaved by suicide.
An enthusiastic group of 19 Seadrill team members laced up their walking boots and took on the mighty Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. The route covers an impressive 24 miles (38.6 km) with a staggering 1,585 metres (5,200 ft) of climbing across the iconic peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. Not exactly a walk in the park!
With determination and plenty of humour, the team conquered each summit together. Their hard work and commitment were matched by the generosity of their supporters, raising an incredible £3,310 to help us continue our vital work.
Allison Furlong, CEO at Alfie’s Squad said,
“We’re very grateful to everyone at Seadrill for choosing Alfie’s Squad and for putting so much energy into this challenge, your efforts will make a real difference to the children and families we support.”
If you’re feeling inspired, why not get your colleagues involved too? Whether it’s tackling a mountain or dreaming up your own unique fundraising idea, your business can help us reach even more families when they need it most.
