Alfie’s Squad are proud to announce the launch of an online peer support group for children bereaved by suicide.
Our peer support group for children bereaved by suicide is unfortunately the only one available in the UK, and is based in Liverpool. We are working hard to open groups in different areas.
We receive many emails asking when we will be opening in different areas. This all takes time, so, we have decided to launch Alfie’s Squad online!
Alfie’s Squad online will be available to children and young people from anywhere outside of Merseyside.
Our online support group will be for children aged from 8-17.
These weekly online sessions will include different fun activities and challenges for the children to take part in.
At Alfie’s Squad, we aim to reduce the feelings of isolation, and improve self-worth in children and young people who have suffered a loss due to suicide.
Our support group is not a counselling group. It is a safe space where children can have fun, knowing that the other children in the group have suffered a similar loss, so they understand what each other is going through.
Here at Alfie’s Squad, we want to help any child or young person who asks us for support.
To register your child for our online group, please fill out this referral form and we will be in touch within 48 hours. If your child falls just below are suggested age range, but you feel they will be comfortable in an online setting, please still get in touch.
