In addition to weekly face to face sessions, children and young people who have lost someone to suicide, can also join our online peer support group.
Our peer support group for children bereaved by suicide is unfortunately the only one available in the UK, and is based in Liverpool.
While we are working hard to open groups in different areas, we have also created a space online.
Alfie’s Squad online is available to children and young people, aged 6-17 and living outside of Merseyside.
These weekly online sessions will include different fun activities and challenges for the children to take part in.
At Alfie’s Squad, we aim to reduce the feelings of isolation, and improve self-worth in children and young people who have suffered a loss due to suicide.
Please note that both our face to face sessions and online group are not a counselling group. They are a safe space where children and young people can have fun, knowing that others in the group have suffered a similar loss, so they understand what each other is going through.
Here at Alfie’s Squad, we want to help any child or young person who asks us for support.
To register your child or young person, please head to the referral page and we will be in touch within three working days.
