In addition to weekly face-to-face sessions, children and young people who have lost someone to suicide can also join our online peer support group.
Online Squads
Our peer support groups for children and young people bereaved by suicide are unfortunately the only ones available in the UK, based in Liverpool, Bolton and Sheffield.
While we are working hard to open additional groups, we have also created a space online for children and young people, aged 6-17 and unable to attend one of our face-to-face groups.
The bi-weekly online sessions will include different fun activities and challenges for the children and young people to take part in.
At Alfie’s Squad, we aim to reduce the feelings of isolation, and improve self-worth in children and young people who have suffered a loss due to suicide.
Please note that both our face-to-face sessions and online group are not a counselling group. They are a safe space where children and young people can have fun, knowing that others in the group have suffered a similar loss, so they understand what each other is going through.
Here at Alfie’s Squad, we want to help any child or young person who asks us for support.
To register your child or young person, please head to the referral page and we will be in touch within three working days.
