Anna dives into action to support children bereaved by suicide

While many might find the idea of swimming 5km daunting, Anna Wardley has gone above and beyond by completing three 5km swims in three different pools across the country in just three days.

Her inspiring challenge has raised an incredible £1290 to support the work of Alfie’s Squad, helping us provide vital peer support to children and young people bereaved by suicide.

Anna’s connection to this cause is deeply personal. Having lived experience, and with her time as founder and CEO of Luna Foundation CIC, Anna championed better support for children after parental suicide. Now, as Luna’s journey closes, she’s helping to shine a light on the organisations carrying that mission forward.

Anna comments,

“Swimming has always helped me navigate some of life’s toughest moments. As our journey at Luna Foundation comes to an end, I wanted to pass the baton to another organisation that puts the needs of suicide-bereaved children at its heart. That’s why I chose Alfie’s Squad.”

If you’re inspired by Anna’s story and would like to take on a fundraising challenge, big or small, we’d love to hear from you!

You don’t have to take on such a tough challenge of course, whatever your idea it all helps us reach families going through their own challenges.
