Children, young people, and their friends connected to Alfie’s Squad came together for an action-packed day at FireFit Youth and Community Hub in Toxteth, Liverpool.
Made possible with funding from the Youth Empowered Scheme, young members spent the day enjoying football, basketball, pool, table tennis, graffiti art, jewellery making, and gaming. There was something for everyone, no matter their age or interests. The wide variety of activities meant every young member found something that got them moving, laughing or giving something new a go!
The warm welcome from the FireFit team, especially those leading the activities, Heather, Isabelle and Abduallah (and Pam!), was much appreciated. They did a fantastic job in encouraging everyone to join in and making sure no one was left out. There was also plenty of tasty food to keep the energy up too.
A big thank you also goes to Katy from FireFit for helping to organise the event with Alfie’s Squad, which gave our young members the chance to come together in a safe and fun space.
Young member Liam said:
“I loved that there was so much to do and that my two friends got to see the fun I have when I’m Alfie’s Squad.”
